5150 is a San Francisco Bay Area based classic rock band that plays cover tunes from the '60's, '70's and '80's, such as Santana, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, the Doors, the Eagles, etc. The band formed in 1989 when several musicians who had taken a hiatus from the music scene to pursue their psychotherapy careers decided to get together and develop the classic rock sound. The name "5150" is derived from the California legal code for danger to self or others.

Being able to play everything from soft ballads with three-part harmonies to up-tempo, fast paced rock and roll, 5150 has the versatility to play everything from weddings and corporate events to parties and clubs. They are in the process of recording their second CD at a South Bay Studio.
